BL198 understands that choosing a practical heel doesn't mean choosing a practical-looking shoe. Fine sparkle, sheer mesh and slim crossover straps give it the character of an evening dance sandal, while the low heel keeps everything reassuringly grounded.
The three colours give the same shoe surprisingly different personalities. Gold feels warm and glamorous, Silver is bright and versatile, while Black Sparkle is the most understated of the three - elegant under normal light with just enough shimmer when it moves.

The 1.5" shaped heel is the foundation of BL198. It keeps the dancer relatively close to the floor, making weight changes and travelling movement feel approachable while still giving the foot the posture and appearance of a proper heeled dance sandal.
The forefoot combines sparkle canvas straps with sheer mesh inserts. It's a clever design choice: the straps provide coverage and connection across the foot, while the mesh keeps the vamp visually light and introduces a little extra breathability.
Crossing straps continue around the foot and ankle, with an adjustable buckle fastening allowing the dancer to find a secure fit. For social dancers in particular, that combination of a low heel and connected upper makes BL198 feel much less intimidating than a minimal high-heeled Latin sandal.
Underfoot, a soft cushioned lining helps with longer classes and social evenings, while the full suede dance sole provides the controlled glide required for turns and travelling movement on a suitable dance floor.

Dance World Fit Advice
Overall Fit
BL198 has a relatively close fit through the forefoot. The sparkle canvas and mesh feel softer than a heavily structured upper, but the foot should still sit securely within the straps rather than spilling over the front or sides.
Starting Size
From our experience with this style, we recommend starting approximately half a size above your normal street-shoe size for a comfortable dance fit.
Regular & Wider Feet
The half-size-up starting point is particularly useful for regular-to-wider feet. The shoe should feel connected without the straps pressing uncomfortably across the forefoot.
Open-Toe Check
Your toes should finish close to the front of the sole without extending beyond it. Avoid adding unnecessary growing room - a secure dance fit gives much better control.
